APS has delivered its Gate OCR Portal system to the US Second Line of Defense (SLD) Megaports Initiative and its defense contractors at multiple facilities in the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. The OCR system is integrated alongside Radiation Portal Monitors (RPM’s) and controlled by centralized software systems to monitor and scan the container traffic through a facility.

A single scanning lane processes up to 300 containers per hour, scanning in the normal flow of traffic at gates or other checkpoints. Inspectors can view integrated scanning images and data just seconds after each container is scanned or at any time afterward.
