CSX Intermodal
Scope includes 4 APS Rail OCR Portals and complete Rail Tracking Systems for the CSX Flagship Terminal in North Baltimore, OH. The rail yard automation system uses OCR technology to automatically identify container-laden rail cars as they enter and exit the facility, and will track the railcars within the facility to fully automate inventory functions.

Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Cartagena (SPRC), Cartagena, Colombia
APS installed 6 Gate OCR Portals in the SPRC facility to automate the identification of equipment during entry and exit. The container OCR system, part of the Megaports Initiative project between SPRC and the NNSA/DOE, also includes the damage inspection imaging application.

The installation, a joint venture between APM Terminals and CMA/CGM Shipping Line, includes the complete Automated Gate System (AGS) with 2 Gate OCR Portals (each with high resolution damage inspection imaging and rear seal verification) along with 16 driver Gate Kiosks deployed throughout the facility.

Gate, Crane and MatchMaker OCR Systems The installation includes 18 Gate OCR Portals and 6 STS Crane OCR systems. The terminal will also leverage the APS Matchmaker system to automatically ID yard tractors as each point of work in the facility (each STS Crane, RTG and top/empty handler).

Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority, Alameda, CA
High-Speed Rail OCR Portal Signaling the first OCR installation on high-speed, ‘mainline’ rail tracks, APS provided a Rail OCR Portal to automate collection of railcar and container data moving within the Alameda Corridor. The system was part of the TSA/Homeland Security funded High Risk Container Cargo Tracking System (HR_CCTS) designed to automatically track train and container movement to and from the nation’s busiest port complexes.
APM Terminals, Tacoma, WA
CCTV Security System APS provided a customized security application to monitor, record, and replay video from over 21 CCTV cameras installed throughout the terminal.

Access Control System APS installed a network-enabled access control system to monitor and control access to over 18 entry/exit doors within the terminal. APS also provided a new employee registration system to issue to issue smart-card badges to the terminal employees, vendors, and visitors.
