Russ Scheppmann – President

As the founder and President of both APS Technology Group Inc. and APS Access Professional Systems Inc., Russ has provided leadership and guidance in the access control and transportation fields, beginning with Access Professionals over thirty-five years ago. He has managed continual enterprise growth over this period and is well known and respected within the industry. Russ brings his extensive management experience to every project and oversees the staff of engineers, technicians and support personnel towards the successful completion of all projects.

Allen Thomas – Vice President of Operations

Allen leads the management and supervision of all operations for APS. He is responsible for strategic planning, business and product development, as well as project and implementation oversight. His experience includes over 15 years of design, development and deployment of large-scale Terminal Operating Systems (TOS) and automation technology for shipping lines, terminal operators and railroads worldwide. Allen’s past experience includes product development and implementation of Automated Gate Systems, OCR, RFID, DGPS technology solutions for Maersk-SeaLand, CSX World Terminals and Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Scott Skillman - Chief Financial Officer

Scott has been in the transportation industry for over 25 years, holding executive and strategy roles in technology, finance and operations.  Scott is responsible for all accounting and finance functions of the organization focusing on the development and maintenance of our strategic planning process, financial reporting and management analysis.  Scott’s vast knowledge of the industry also allows the company to use him in many other aspects such as contract negotiations associated with our commercial sales, partners, channels and financial instruments as well as the financial management and administrative management of our foreign operations.

Lee Scheppmann - Director R & D

Lee has over 30 years of experience in the engineering fields. With an educational background in physics and engineering, he leads the engineering and development team in creating innovative technical solutions using both hardware and software. In the last four years he has been focused on machine vision applications within the transportation and marine industry. His twenty years of practical experience with product development helps to insure the seamless integration between system components and the customers’ requirements.

Michael McMinn – VP Engineering

Mike has been developing imaging technology and systems for over 25 years for an extremely broad range of applications and industries.  He brings his years of experience in managing the development and successfull deployment of these systems to APS and leads all technical aspects for the company.  His background in mathematics and engineering fit directly into the core competency of APS and help ensure our products and services truly meet and exceed the needs of our customers.
